In this interactive workshop tailored for nonprofit organizations, participants will gain valuable insights into cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual whether they are a client, staff member, or community partner feels accepted, valued, and respected. Inclusive Conversations: Communicating Across Cultures
This interactive workshop is designed to deepen participants’ knowledge and skills of inclusive leadership practices such establishing community agreements, having and facilitating courageous conversations across culture, demonstrating vulnerability and transparency in leadership, and facilitating equity of voice in decision making. Participants will leave with an increased sense of cultural competency, cultural empathy and cultural humility. Time is provided for reflection and application of these skills through scenarios and small group discussion as well as provide tools for participants to take and use in their current leadership roles.
Nonprofit Learning Collaborative
Nonprofit Learning Collaborative focuses on the areas of inclusion, and belonging. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the necessary components necessary to create inclusive working and service environments which include awareness, allyship, advocacy, and agency. Through various engaging, interactive, and non-threatening professional learning opportunities, participants will leave with ideas and strategies that can deepen further conversations and action as nonprofit leaders. Behavioral Preferences Mapping (also known as Cultural Values) is a valuable tool that helps nonprofit teams better understand how individuals prefer to communicate, collaborate, and get work done. These preferences reflect the diverse ways people navigate life, not as right or wrong approaches, but as different starting points shaped by culture, experience, and identity.
